WELCOME TO THE ALFA SURGERY CENTER
Alfa Surgery Center is an outpatient, endoscopic facility specializing in colorectal cancer screening and the treatment of various diseases involving the digestive tract. Our experienced, board-certified physicians have dedicated themselves to caring for their neighbors in the South Bay community of San Diego, Chula Vista, and Tijuana.

PROCEDURES
Colonoscopy
A colonoscopy is a visual examination of the entire large intestine (colon) using a lighted, flexible colonoscope. To be certain you are comfortable and relaxed, you will be sedated through an I.V. In fact, most patients are asleep during the entire process and remember little to nothing about it.
EGD
Also called an EGD or esophagogastroduodenoscopy.A thin scope with a light and camera at its tip, called an endoscope, is used to look inside the upper digestive system of the esophagus, stomach and the first part of the small intestine.
Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
A sigmoidoscopy is an internal exam of the lower part of the large colon using a short, thin, flexible lighted tube ("scope"). It is inserted into the rectum and slowly guided into the colon.
Olympus Technology
Alfa Surgery Center utilizes the Olympus EVIS EXERA III video endoscopy system which represents the latest evolution in state-of-the-art patient care. This allows your physician to see with more clarity than ever before to ensure disease diagnosis at its earliest stage.
Gastric Balloon
A gastric balloon procedure is a non-surgical and temporary weight loss device now available in Alfa Surgery Center.
